A set of three posters, ca. 1930

QUEENSLAND PREFERENCE LEAGUE

$450.00

Condition: Very Good

Three posters (34 x 26.5 cm) issued by the Queensland Preference League. The league had been set up in 1924 and had as its aim the promotion of Queensland-made products, or more specifically British goods, made in Queensland. The wonderful design includes trains, lorries, cargo ships in front of a background of high rise buildings, and a man at his desk looking at the growing city of Brisbane. This design seems to foresee the office buildings that have sprung up at Brisbane’s Southbank. * The posters are signed Robert Ware.
