Contemporary full mottled calf with gilt fillet lines to boards, spine gilt and red leather title label to spine. Outside hinges minimally rubbed, small bump to leading edge of lower board, endpapers a little stained, first and last few leaves slightly foxed (the tissue guard to the frontispiece more so), a little foxing here and there including to folding plate. * First French edition translated from the Persian version. Originally written in the Mogul language by Timur Bec (ca 1336-1405), the great conqueror, also known by the name of Tamerlain the Great.
