28.5 cm. 160 pp. of mostly full-page photographs. Hardcover boards with dust jacket. Jacket with a little wear to edges, inside of jacket with a little staining, bottom edges of binding with a couple of small bumps, a very good copy. * “Most of the photos in this book have never been published before. Concentrating on the Adelaide leg of the Beatles tour of Australia in June, 1964, they cover the Beatles arrival in Adelaide, their reception at the Town Hall, the press conferences and, of course, the four concerts they did in Centennial Hall in Adelaide on June 12 and 13, 1964. Ringo Starr pulled out of the first part of the tour, so they brought out replacement drummer Jimmy Nicol. While Ringo did manage to join the band in Melbourne, these photos contain many rare shots of Jimmy on tour with John, Paul and George.”
