Orig. green cloth, richly decorated in gilt on the spine and the upper board, all edges gilt. Minor rubbing to binding, inside hinges split, but holding firmly, name on endpaper (‘K. Heskjar, 1879’), a little mild browning to first and last few pages, faint damp stain in bottom margin of first 50 pages, else very good. * Rare posthumously published collection of poems by Carl Bagger (1807 – 1846), Danish journalist and writer, and friend of Hans Christian Andersen.
